In Search of Experienced Music Event Coordinator

Experienced Part-Time Event Coordinator (Chicago | Music | Startup Vibe). In search of someone who has experience with the hands-on planning of events. This is a re-start-up. Events are currently 40 to 50 attendees, at smaller music venues like Empty Bottle, Lemmings, Gallery Cabaret. For now.

• We’re re-launching something from the ground up — a music-focused organization — and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of building it, not just working a job.

Right now, the events are small and informal (think house parties, low-key gatherings, pop-up style). That’s intentional. We’re starting lean, testing ideas, and growing from there.

• We need someone who can help coordinate and be present at these events — someone organized, reliable, and comfortable figuring things out as we go.

The Role (for now)

• One or Two hours a week, mostly during the week of the event--and then the event itself.
• Help keep things running smoothly.

Compensation

• $300 to $400 per event (negotiable depending on scope/experience) + Supplemental if necessary

Who This Is For

• You live in Chicago (this is a must)
• You have lived in Chicago many years. (Not a must, but very helpful)
• You’re organized but not rigid
• You like music / creative environments
• You don’t need everything mapped out — you can roll with it
